———————— Home —

I am a doctoral student in the College of Information Science and Technology at Drexel University. Before going to Philly, I have stayed at Ann Arbor, Michigan, working as the chief editor and translation manager for the Opensource Opencourseware Prototype System (OOPS) project during my OPT after obtain my Master degree of Science at Texas A&M University Science and Technology Journalism program. Before becoming an Aggie, I had worked in Beijing, China as an editor and IT director for the Teleco mmunications Technology Magazine for six years after own my bachelor degree on Computer Science at Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in Nanjing, China.

My research interests include information visualization, data mining on citation analysis, visual analytic, content analysis, and their applications in several domains, like mapping the advances of science and technology, literature based knowledge discovery, and digital library. Particularly, my research focuses on applying data mining methods to solve traditional biliometrics, scientometrics, informatics, and webmetrics problems, and visualizing the results of analysis.

Currently, I am working with Dr. Chaomei Chen on the NSF SEIII project, which focuses on bridging the scientific discovery data with scientific literature to facilitate new discoveries based on the two kinds of data that currently are disconnected.

In my spare time (hope I have), I like to play badminton and Go, two extremely different hobbies. The badminton game requires fast moving of my body; meanwhile the Go is a quiet and unmoved sport, but put my mind to unlimited world. The two hobbies consume a lot of energy. So I like cooking to compensate the lost energy.
